STARS will hold its first grade level lottery for admittance for Kindergarten at STARS in the Renaissance Room Thursday, April 10th at 12:00. Please call the school with any questions.

With over 900 entries, STARS received 13 county awards and 2 state awards in our first year competing in the Young Authors writing competition sponsored by the North Carolina Reading Association.
STARS snow make-up days--Full day March 26th which was a half day, and we will come for a full day April 11th which was originally a day off for students and teachers.
Students at STARS Charter School earned a second place finish in the National Engineers Week Regional Future Cities Competition. The students worked as a team to design a virtual city. They researched a city wide transportation issue and wrote an essay with their findings and solutions. The students built a tabletop scale model of their city using recycled materials and they wrote a narrative promoting their city. The STARS Future Cities Team presented their city of the future, Verafortous, to a panel of judges at the Regional Competition held at NC State.
